Blue-ish Jewish Child's Day
01/12/2009
BLUE was the colour at schools and chedarim last Friday Nov 27) and Sunday (Nov 29) when thousands of children nationwide and even some from Gibraltar participated in the first-ever Blue-ish Jewish Child's Day.
The boys and girls were delighted to be able to leave their school uniforms at home on Friday, turning up wearing blue to signify their support for JCD.
As you can see from the pictures it was a fun day all round for the kids -- and the teachers got in on the act as well!
Each child was asked to donate a minimum of £1, but many exceeded this figure after organising their own fund-raising events among siblings and friends.
