CASE STUDY

The legacy left by Beatrice Ansell enabled JCD to fully equip a kindergarten in Minsk, Belrus.

Mrs Ansell's daughter, Hilary Lewis, said,"During her lifetime our mother worked tirelessly to raise funds for charity and we wanted to choose a suitable legacy in her memory. The JCD project to provide play equipment for a children's centre in Minsk felt very fitting and was particularly poignant given that our mother's grandparents hailed from that region. We are happy that, as a consequence of this decision, these children can benefit from our family's good fortune."

As you can see from the photos below, many children from this impoverised community benefit from using these delightful pieces of play equipment, which doubles as a physiotherapy area for physically disabled children . More than this, it ensures the Jewish Cultural Centre here is vibrant and full of life. And the plaque on the wall bears testament to the lasting generosity of Mrs Ansell and her family.
